Phaedra Kennedy – Honourary Race Director

Phaedra is a distance runner, triathlete and coach and has recently become an avid road cyclist. She started running in her late 20’s and raced everything from 5km to the marathon.  She discovered triathlon in 2004 and has toed the line at every distance from sprint to Ironman, the sprint distance being where she is most competitive.  She took a break from the sport for a few years in 2009 but came back to it in 2012 with a renewed passion.

She started coaching in an effort to share her passion for endurance sports and works with athletes of all abilities.   She is an NAASFP Certified Run Coach and an NCCP Trained Triathlon coach.  She believes that the key to successful racing is training both the body and the mind.   “The body achieves what the mind believes”
